Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about joining Ku-ring-gai Little Athletics.
What is Little Athletics?
Ku‑ring‑gai Little Athletics Centre is part of Australia’s iconic Little Athletics movement; a modified athletics program designed specifically for children. Little Athletics introduces kids to the fundamentals of running, jumping, throwing and walking, with activities tailored to suit their age, ability and stage of development.
At KLAC, we believe in helping every child “Be Your Best”, with a strong focus on fun, participation, skill development and confidence. Our centre proudly reflects the national Little Athletics motto: Family, Fun and Fitness.
Each season, more than 100,000 children across Australia take part in Little Athletics, building the foundation skills used in all sports, speed, agility, balance, coordination and strength. At Ku‑ring‑gai Little Athletics, we deliver this experience locally at Bannockburn Oval, providing a supportive, community‑focused environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.
Whether your child is new to sport or already loves running, KLAC offers a welcoming place to develop athletic skills, make friends and enjoy healthy outdoor activity with the whole family involved.
